Chaos & Precision is the graphic design practice of Riley Hooker. The studio emphasizes high-impact visuals informed by research and close collaboration. C&P’s output is meduim agnostic—focusing on the idea first and building out from there, bringining in specialized talent as nedded. This appraoch has produced a distinctive body of work, encompassing branding and visual identity, art direction, books, websites, printed ephemera and spatial design spanning over two decades.
Hooker currently co-teaches the Core Studio for the first year of the graduate program in graphic design at the Yale School of Art. They’ve taught alongside Nontsikelelo Mutiti, Yeju Choi and Feride Meribe.
Hooker’s work has been exhibited at Poster House (forthcoming, Feb. 2027), Art Omi, The New Museum for Contemporary Art, and the ICA at VCU.
Hooker’s indenepent publishing under the moniker Façadomy has produced both urgent politically oriented projects for comunity based initiatives as well as highly collectable publications that have been acquired by numerous university libraries as well as institutions like MoMA and the Whiteney Museum of American Art.
