ABSTRACT: Poster SHOWING THE COMPLEXITY OF JEWISHNESS for The Concentration in Education & Jewish Studies In the Stanford School of Education.
The department was created to form scholarship around Jewish identity that is not explicitly rooted in Israel, to show a layered, complex and global culture of “Jewishness.”

In same way that the EDJS program uses Jewishness as a lens on culture, the design system acts as a lens by framing the content.
The department title is divided into two parts with the first half right aligned and placed in the top-right corner:
The later half is left aligned and placed in the lower-left corner:
The placement of the lockup encourages the eye to begin in the top-right corner and move towards the bottom-left—mimetic of the Herbrew language.
